Counseling for Women and Adolesents in Greensboro, NC

“You deserve compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental space to process your emotions. I am here to listen and support you.”

About me

I am committed to creating a compassionate, accepting space, and therapeutic relationship where clients can feel validated, learn new coping strategies, and feel empowered towards growth. Regardless of their age, I believe that each person is unique and deserves support, reflection, and empathy.
I use an integrative approach to counseling by applying the techniques and skills of Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral modalities to meet clients where they are. I believe that clients have an innate potential for change through a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship. I also believe that people are whole beings and I am dedicated to providing holistic client care. I consider it both an honor and a privilege to be a part of my clients’ meaningful life journeys.
Client populations that I serve include adults, young adults, and teens. My experience includes but is not limited to chronic illness, stress, anxiety, depression, grief support, and life transitions.
I have a special interest in perinatal mental health issues, and I am working towards becoming certified in perinatal counseling. I am passionate about providing women with support as they journey through postpartum challenges, pregnancy, infertility, and women’s health issues.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my Golden Retriever, Sophie Marie, traveling, and Pilates.

Counseling for Women
Anxiety, grief, depression, stress, life transitions, trauma, and chronic illness are just a few of the mental health challenges I have had the privilege of supporting women through. I am passionate about providing holistic therapeutic care to meet clients where they are in life and empower them towards growth to successfully navigate life’s demands. Christian Counseling
Faith can play a huge role in the process of healing. I believe that emotional and spiritual health are greatly connected and for many of my clients – an incredible source of strength. Upon request, I offer the option to incorporate faith into our counseling work together.
Perinatal Mental Health
If you’re a mother and finding it difficult to cope with life’s responsibilities, please know that you are not alone! I create a safe and compassionate space where you can begin to feel whole again. Whether you’re processing the challenges of new motherhood, relationship changes, fertility, traumatic birth/loss, symptoms of guilt, anxiety, or depression, I am here to support you. Navigating the challenges of motherhood can be hard – but it doesn’t have to stay that way!
Adolescents (14+)
Being a teenager in today’s society is hard enough let alone dealing with anxiety, depression, and developing one’s own identity. I consider it a privilege to meet teens where they are while creating a safe, non-judgmental space for them to process their emotions and develop their true and authentic whole selves.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Types of Sessions Do You Offer?
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. In-person sessions are held at my office located in Greensboro, NC. I see clients virtually within the state of NC.
How Long Are Sessions, and How Much Do They Cost?
Sessions are generally 55-minutes and are $150. Initial intake sessions are generally 55-60 minutes and are $175, due to information gathered including client history, assessment of symptoms, and treatment planning.
Do You Accept Insurance?
Yes! I am in-network with many Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans. You can check to see if I’m an in-network provider with your specific plan by calling the mental health line listed on the back of your insurance card and providing my name. I accept other insurance plans as an out-of-network provider and can provide documentation for you to file for out-of-network benefits upon request.
How Often Do You See Clients?
I see clients weekly and bi-weekly (every two weeks) depending on management of symptoms and other factors. When possible, I recommend new clients start weekly sessions for the first month as we identify counseling goals, manage present symptoms, and build a therapeutic relationship together.
How Long Will it Take Before I Can Expect Change?
While improvement in symptoms varies, many clients experience improvement within the first several sessions, while for others, it may take longer. Treatment success varies depending on many factors – often including severity of present symptoms, expectations of treatment goals, and determining the appropriate type of therapy treatment.
How Do I Know Therapy is Working?
Many clients begin to notice a shift in mood and management of symptoms. Such signs that therapy is working may include increased self-awareness, improved communication skills, the ability to better manage emotions and behaviors, and a change in thinking patterns.
